Warehouse Operative

Location: Feltham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Salary: £30k per annum

About the Role
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our clients team based in Feltham on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role within a busy warehouse and logistics environment, where you will play an important part in ensuring client consignments are received, stored, handled, scanned and dispatched safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently receive, store and move consignments within the warehouse.
• Operate a forklift to move consignments where required.
• Carry out general warehouse duties including picking, packing, stock control and fulfilment.
• Maintain accurate records of consignments and warehouse movements.
• Maintain the integrity and security of client consignments and report any issues appropriately.
• Assist with collections and deliveries within the warehouse.
• Carry out security scanning of consignments for airside delivery.
• Plan and organise collections, deliveries and warehouse storage.
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy warehouse environment.
• Ensure all Health & Safety, environmental, quality and security standards are consistently followed.
• Use warehouse operating systems, processes and handheld devices to ensure projects and contracts are processed correctly.
• Become confident in using the Modula machine following training.
• Support the Operations team with waste management.
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain or airside logistics.
• Good general education, including English and Maths.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, web-based systems, handheld devices and warehouse software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• A Forklift Driving Certificate - desirable.
• Previous security screening experience - desirable, although training can be provided

You must also be able to provide 5 years of back-to-back references with no gaps in your employment/activities history.
