Technical Services Manager - London

Up to £90,000 + Excellent Package

An established Tier One main contractor with a strong reputation in the commercial fit out sector is looking to appoint a Technical Services Manager to join its growing London business. With a healthy pipeline of secured projects across the capital, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering high-profile CAT A and CAT B fit out schemes, alongside a variety of retail and workplace refurbishment projects. Working closely with the Divisional Director and wider project teams, you'll take ownership of the MEP delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning, handover and aftercare, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards. This opportunity would suit an existing Technical Services Manager looking for a new challenge or an ambitious Assistant Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager or MEP Project Engineer seeking to progress into a Tier One main contractor environment.

The Role

• Manage the MEP design, coordination and delivery across multiple fit out projects.
• Review consultant and subcontractor design information, ensuring buildability, compliance and programme alignment.
• Drive technical coordination between the client, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Oversee commissioning, witnessing, testing and handover activities.
• Monitor programme, quality and technical risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support procurement of MEP packages and provide technical input during subcontractor selection.
• Ensure all services installations comply with current regulations, employer's requirements and project specifications.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams and Site Management to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Attend client meetings, design workshops and progress meetings as the lead MEP representative.

Project Experience

Projects typically include:

• Commercial CAT A & CAT B office fit outs
• Workplace refurbishment schemes
• High-end retail fit out projects

Typical MEP package values range from £2m - £10m.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience delivering MEP packages on commercial construction or fit out projects.
• A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Excellent technical coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing specialist MEP subcontractors.
• Knowledge of commissioning and project handover processes.
• The ability to work collaboratively within fast-paced project teams.
