Street Cleansing Team Leader

The post holder will work under the direction of the Operational Supervisor and will contribute to the effective delivery of street cleansing and environmental services across the area.

Working Arrangements
Work within the operational service hours, normally between 06:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday. The role may also involve weekend and bank holiday duties according to an established rota. Additional contractual overtime may be required to support operational demands.
Vehicle Operation and Driving
Undertake authorised driving duties in a safe and responsible manner. All vehicle use must comply with applicable UK road traffic legislation, operator licensing requirements and relevant fleet and transport standards.
Vehicle Safety and Inspections
Complete the required pre-use and daily vehicle inspections for vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW. Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and suitable for use before commencing duties and throughout the working day. Any defects affecting vehicle safety or operation must be reported promptly through the appropriate fleet reporting system and to the Operational Supervisor.
Safety Equipment
Check that required vehicle safety equipment and operational accessories are present, serviceable and fit for purpose, reporting any faults or deficiencies without delay.
Vehicle Cleanliness
Maintain vehicles in a clean, orderly and presentable condition, ensuring that the cab, bodywork and operational areas are kept appropriately tidy.
Operational Support
Work flexibly with colleagues and supervisors to respond to changing service requirements and ensure that scheduled cleansing activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.Essential Requirements
