Job Description:

Senior Site Manager – Student Accommodation

Location: Camden Town, London

Kenna Recruitment are assisting a developer with the search for an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the internal fit-out of a residential student accommodation scheme based in Camden Town.

You will be responsible for managing the internal works across approximately 80 units, taking them from first fix through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will have a strong background working for a residential developer or main contractor, with proven experience delivering high-quality residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the internal works across 80 student accommodation units.

• Taking units from first fix through to completion and handover.

• Overseeing the full MEP packages, ensuring all services are installed, tested and commissioned to the required standards.

• Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered in line with the programme.

• Monitoring quality, health and safety, and maintaining high standards across the site.

• Carrying out regular inspections and snagging to ensure units are completed to the required specification.

• Managing progress meetings and reporting on programme, quality and site performance.

• Coordinating with the wider project team to ensure a smooth and efficient handover.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager on residential projects.

• Experience working for a residential developer or residential main contractor.

• Strong knowledge of internal fit-out works, from first fix through to handover.

• Experience managing full MEP packages.

• The external works will be traditional brick facade, and you will need to assit the external team when needed. 

• A strong understanding of quality control, health and safety, and programme management.

• Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.

• Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
