Senior Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (Greater London)

About the Role

A leading main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years’ experience to take full commercial responsibility for major construction projects across London, typically valued between £10m–£100m+. You will play a key role in ensuring strong commercial performance from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of construction projects
• Cost control, forecasting, CVRs, and monthly reporting
• Subcontract procurement and package management
• Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
• Management of variations, risks, and contractual matters
• Administration of JCT and/or NEC contracts
• Collaboration with project teams, clients, and consultants

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
• Main contractor background essential
• Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
• Experience managing projects/packages £10m+
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
