Job Description:

Conrad Consulting is working with a progressive, multi-disciplinary built environment consultancy that is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join its London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor or Project Manager looking to take ownership of a varied project portfolio, work across a range of sectors and benefit from genuine opportunities for career progression.

The role will suit a commercially minded professional with a strong project delivery background, excellent client-facing skills and the ambition to take on responsibility for projects ranging from £500k to £50m.

You will take responsibility for delivering a diverse range of projects, acting as Project Manager, Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent or Lead Consultant, depending on the requirements of each commission.

Projects will include:

• Historic building renovations and refurbishment schemes.
• Commercial office fit-outs.
• Private refurbishment projects.
• Fire safety projects and major façade remediation schemes.
• Building surveying advisory and consultancy services.

You will lead project teams, manage client relationships and ensure projects are delivered effectively from inception through to completion. Working across a varied portfolio, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, commercial awareness and leadership capabilities.

• Degree or relevant professional qualification in Building Surveying or Project Management.
• Ideally MRICS qualified, although candidates working towards RICS accreditation will also be considered.
• A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong project delivery experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Essential knowledge and experience of the JCT suite of contracts.
• Experience acting as Project Manager, Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent or Lead Consultant.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and experience across different procurement routes would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
