As a Secondary Maths Teacher in this Chiswick school, you will be responsible for planning and delivering accessible Maths lessons across the secondary age range. The school is also looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher who has some experience with ICT and is comfortable incorporating basic technology into lessons and everyday classroom activities.

The Secondary Maths Teacher role in Chiswick includes:

• Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 within a specialist SEN environment

• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons

• Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of additional learning needs

• Using practical and creative approaches to make Maths accessible

• Supporting pupils to develop their mathematical and functional skills

• Using ICT and basic technology within lessons where appropriate

• Working alongside teaching assistants and specialist staff

• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual learning plans

• Creating a structured and engaging classroom environment

• Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

About the Secondary Maths Teacher

The school is looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher who has:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level

• Experience working within an SEN or specialist setting is desirable

• A good understanding of adapting lessons for pupils with additional needs

• Some experience and confidence using ICT within the classroom

• Strong classroom management skills

• A flexible and creative approach to teaching

• A genuine interest in working within specialist education
