About the Role

Complete Classroom Services is seeking are seeking a dedicated School Welfare Administrator to join our educational institution’s administrative team. This vital role involves overseeing student welfare services, supporting the well-being of pupils, and ensuring the smooth operation of welfare-related activities within the school environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a compassionate approach, and experience in educational settings, particularly with teaching or student support functions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere for all students.

Health & Safety / First Aid

Hold a valid First Aid qualification.

Provide appropriate first aid support to pupils and staff within the scope of your training.

Follow school health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.

Maintain accurate records of first aid incidents where required.Ensure safeguarding and pupil protection remain a priority at all times.

Raise any health, safety, or welfare concerns promptly.

General Duties

Carry out all duties in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Participate in staff meetings, training, performance management, and professional development.

Support whole-school initiatives and contribute positively to the school community.

Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role as reasonably requested by the Senior Leadership Team.

Essential Requirements

The successful applicant should:

Have a valid First Aid qualification.

Have a DBS registered on the Update Service.

Be available to start as soon as possible.

Have experience working with children and/or within a school, education, welfare, pastoral, or administrative environment.

Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Be confident communicating with pupils, parents/carers, staff, and external professionals.

Have excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Be able to maintain accurate and confidential records.

Be reliable, professional, approachable, and proactive.

Have good IT and communication skills.

Be able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Desirable

Previous experience in a school welfare, pastoral, attendance, safeguarding, or administrative role.

Knowledge of school attendance procedures.

Experience of working with external agencies and supporting families.

Relevant safeguarding or child protection training.

Experience working within a busy school or education setting.
