School Receptionist
 
Location: East Dulwich, Southeast London
Contract: Maternity Cover
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £14.25 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
 
Horizon Teachers are recruiting for an experienced School Receptionist to join a welcoming school in East Dulwich, Southeast London, on a maternity cover basis.
 
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service while supporting the smooth running of the school office.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Managing the school reception and welcoming parents, pupils and visitors
• Answering telephone calls, emails and handling general enquiries
• Signing visitors in and following school safeguarding procedures
• Supporting attendance, pupil records and general office administration
• Providing day-to-day administrative support to the wider school team

 
Requirements

• Previous reception or administrative experience within a school environment
• Previous experience using a school management system such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom
• Strong communication, IT and organisational skills with a professional and approachable manner
