Senior / Principal Consultant - Executive Search & Private Equity

London | Hybrid

c. £50,000 | Uncapped commission | OTE £150,000+The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Recruitment/ Executive Search Consultant with a track record of delivering senior leadership and C-suite appointments within Private Equity, PE-backed businesses, or high-growth environments.

You will partner with Private Equity investors, portfolio companies and leadership teams to deliver retained search assignments across CFO, COO, CTO, CPO, Finance Director, Operations Director and other critical leadership appointments.

Essential Criteria

To apply for this role, you must have:

• A background in Executive Search, Senior Appointments or Leadership Recruitment.
• Experience delivering retained or exclusive search assignments.
• A proven track record recruiting Director, VP, MD or C-suite level talent.
• Demonstrable experience headhunting and engaging passive senior candidates.
• Experience managing complex search processes involving multiple senior stakeholders.
• Strong market mapping, talent intelligence, and executive assessment capability.

Highly Desirable

• Private Equity recruitment experience.
• Experience recruiting into PE-backed portfolio businesses.
• Delivery of CFO, COO, CTO, CPO or Board-level searches.
• Existing network within Private Equity, venture capital or leadership communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver retained executive search mandates from brief through to completion.
• Partner with investors, operating partners and executive leadership teams.
• Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis and talent intelligence projects.
• Build and engage leadership talent pipelines.
• Assess, interview and present shortlisted executive candidates.
• Provide strategic market insight and hiring advice to clients.
• Develop long-term relationships across the Private Equity ecosystem.
