Junior Sprinkler Design Engineer

Junior Sprinkler Design Engineer
Location: London (Bishopsgate) - Office Based with UK Travel
Ready to get off the tools and into design?
If you've worked on sprinkler installations, understand BS 9251, and you're looking for a long-term career rather than staying site-based forever, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
We're looking for someone with hands-on sprinkler experience who's ready to make the move into design. You don't need AutoCAD experience - full training will be provided. What you do need is a solid understanding of sprinkler systems, the ability to read drawings, and the ambition to learn.
This is a genuine opportunity to build a career as a Design Engineer with structured training, recognised qualifications and support from an experienced technical team.
The Role
You'll initially work alongside Senior Design Engineers, reviewing sprinkler drawings, marking up layouts, identifying clashes and helping coordinate projects. As your experience grows, you'll progress into producing full sprinkler designs using AutoCAD and work towards becoming a fully-fledged Design Engineer.
What You'll Need
Experience within the fire sprinkler industry
Ideally worked as a Site Supervisor or similar site-based position
Strong understanding of BS 9251
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Good eye for detail and problem solving
Full UK Driving Licence
Happy to travel to sites across the UK when required
Looking for a long-term career in design rather than staying on the tools.
What's On Offer
Full AutoCAD training
Industry-recognised BS 9251 qualification
Clear career progression into Design Engineering
Ongoing mentoring from experienced engineers
Long-term opportunity with a growing business investing in its people.
If you've got the practical sprinkler knowledge and want to move your career in a new direction, we'd love to hear from you.
