Earn as a basic, £57,744 per annum (£26.44 per hour)
4 on 4 off Days


The Opportunity HGV Technician / PSV Technician
As an HGV Technician / PSV Technician, you'll carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to ensure the fleet remains safe, reliable and available for service. Working within a modern workshop, you'll use the latest diagnostic equipment while maintaining the highest engineering standards.
 
Requirements of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience working as an HGV Technician / PSV Technician, Bus Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic vehicle systems.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• A positive attitude with a strong focus on quality and safety.

 
Responsibilities of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Undertake MOT preparation and safety inspections.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with DVSA standards and workshop procedures.
• Work closely with the wider engineering team to minimise vehicle downtime.
