Graduate Sales Executive – French or German speaking

 

• Location: Central London – Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 day from home)
• Salary: £30,000–£33,000 + 40% commission (OTE c. £50,000)
• After 6 months: Basic salary increases to £36,000
• Languages: Fluent French or German
• Hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00am–5:30pm; Friday 9:00am–1:00pm

The Company
Are you a recent graduate who is fluent in French or German and looking for a career where your language skills can give you a real advantage?  Our client is a leading international media, events and exhibitions organisation, delivering some of Europe's most exciting and influential industry events. As the business continues to expand across Europe, it is looking for ambitious, driven graduates to join its international sales team in central London.


The Role
As either a German or French speaking Graduate Sales Executive, you will be responsible for growing sales of exhibition and sponsorship opportunities across European markets. You will work with a combination of existing clients and new prospects, identifying potential customers, developing relationships and taking opportunities through the full sales process.

Your language skills will be central to the role, allowing you to build strong relationships with international clients and develop business across your assigned European market. You will receive structured sales training and support while developing the skills needed to progress into a successful international sales career. Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Sell exhibition, sponsorship and commercial opportunities to businesses across Europe.
• Identify and research new potential clients and business opportunities.
• Prospect for new business through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn and other channels.
• Build strong commercial relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
• Manage existing exhibitor and client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional business.
• Take ownership of the sales cycle from initial contact through to negotiation and closing.
• Understand clients' objectives and develop tailored commercial proposals.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and contracts.
• Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information in Salesforce and other internal systems.
• Keep sales forecasts and pipeline information up to date.
• Work towards individual and team revenue targets.
• Collaborate with marketing, events and internal commercial teams to maximise sales opportunities.
• Attend relevant industry events and build your professional network across European markets.

Candidate Profile
 

• Fluent French or German
• A university degree or equivalent.
• Recent graduate status or limited post-graduate experience.
• A strong interest in developing a career in sales, business development or commercial roles.
• A competitive, target-driven mindset and genuine desire to succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence speaking to people at different levels of seniority.
• The resilience and determination to pick up the phone, build relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities.
• A proactive and positive approach to learning.
• Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, retail or commercial experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• International experience, travel or exposure to European markets would be an advantage but is not required.

We are looking for ambitious graduates with energy, resilience and a genuine desire to succeed in sales. You don't need to have previous B2B sales or events experience. We're much more interested in your personality, motivation and potential!


Salary & benefits
£30,000 – £33,000 basic salary

- 40% commission OTE of approximately £50,000
- Basic salary rising to £36,000 after successful completion of the 6-month probationary period
