Driver - Central London Deliveries

Location: Sidcup, Kent

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 8:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Driver to join our fast-paced business based in Sidcup.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to commercial and corporate clients across Central London, completing an average of 6-10 deliveries per day.

This role requires someone who is confident driving in busy London environments and comfortable dealing directly with customers at all levels. As you will often be the face of the business, excellent customer service skills, professionalism and a positive attitude are essential.

A Mercedes-Benz Vito van will be provided, which can be taken home overnight.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries across Central London and surrounding areas.
• Safely load, transport and deliver goods to commercial and corporate clients.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
• Provide outstanding customer service at every delivery point.
• Build positive relationships with customers and represent the company professionally.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records where required.
• Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company procedures.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Working Hours

• Standard working hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
• Due to the nature of the role, there may be occasions where you finish earlier than scheduled.
• Flexibility is required, as some days may involve slightly later finishes depending on traffic conditions and delivery requirements.

Requirements



Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Clean driving licence with no major endorsements.
• Previous experience driving in Central London.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional and presentable approach.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a delivery, courier or multi-drop driving role.
• Experience delivering to commercial or corporate businesses.
• Experience driving Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar sized vans.
