CNC Milling Operator – Late Shift

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm – 10pm

CNC Milling Operator / CNC Miller / CNC Machine Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Milling Operator to join a busy precision engineering and manufacturing environment based in the Hayes area of West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC milling experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position working a fixed late shift, Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, producing precision-machined components to the required quality standards.

This is primarily a CNC operating role. Full programming experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components.

• Loading and unloading materials and finished components.

• Monitoring machining operations to maintain quality and accuracy.

• Carrying out basic tool changes and machine adjustments where required.

• Reading and working from engineering drawings and job instructions.

• Checking finished components using verniers, micrometers and other measuring equipment.

• Identifying and reporting machining or quality issues.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience operating CNC milling machines is essential.

• Experience within precision engineering or a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Familiarity with measuring and inspection equipment.

• Good attention to detail and an understanding of machining tolerances.

• Reliable, practical and able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Desirable but not essential:

• CNC setting experience.

• Experience operating 3-axis or 5-axis CNC milling machines.

• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or similar CNC controls.

• Experience producing close-tolerance machined components.
