Job Description:

Are you an experienced Category Manager, Buyer or Sales professional with a strong FMCG background and a real commercial drive?

We're partnering with a leading, highly established UK wholesaler to appoint a Category Manager who will play a key role in shaping category strategy, maximising sales and profitability, and delivering value for both the business and its retail customers.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a category, working closely with major suppliers to develop joint business plans, negotiate commercial income, optimise ranging and pricing, and deliver impactful promotional strategies.

You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and develop Category Assistants, while working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver ambitious commercial targets.

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong experience in FMCG retail, wholesale, buying or category management
• Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills
• Experience developing and delivering category and promotional strategies
• The confidence to influence stakeholders and secure strong commercial outcomes
• A proactive, tenacious approach and a genuine desire to drive continuous improvement
