Business Manager - Technology Innovation & Engagement
Temp to Perm: Initial Inside IR35 Contract, then Perm Employment
AVP Level (Junior AVP Considered)
London Hybrid (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day WFH - Reducing to 3 Days onsite once Perm)

This is your chance to shape how an entire international banking technology function tells its innovation story - from AI and automation showcases to leadership town halls that people actually want to attend.

Working within the Office of the COO for Technology Innovation Management, you'll sit at the heart of a team that connects technology with the wider business across EMEA and internationally. You'll drive awareness, engagement and adoption of innovation initiatives, turning complex concepts into crisp, business-focused narratives that land with senior stakeholders. You won't need design skills for this - an in-house design team has the templates and visual tools covered; this role is about understanding the substance and shaping the story (with AI tools supporting the actual drafting).

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing business management support to the Technology Innovation function, including strategic planning, prioritisation and execution of initiatives
• Managing and coordinating innovation engagement activities - Tech Talks, speaker events and leadership sessions, run both in person and virtually
• Developing innovation portfolio materials, case studies and executive briefing packs, including pulling together fragmented initiatives (e.g. AI activity happening across different teams) into a single, coherent story
• Creating compelling, business-focused narratives that showcase AI, automation and innovation initiatives, and producing short-form video content
• Producing innovation updates, newsletters and awareness materials, translating technical concepts into clear business messaging
• Preparing reporting and management information for senior leadership
• Engaging and influencing stakeholders across Technology and the wider business functions
• Building and maintaining a rolling comms and events plan across a portfolio of roughly 3-10 concurrent initiatives

What You'll Bring

• 3-5+ years' experience as a Business Manager, Chief of Staff, or in a similar business-facing/comms-adjacent role within a large, complex organisation
• No technology or banking background required - what matters most is genuine curiosity and the confidence to get under the skin of unfamiliar, technical subject matter quickly. Financial services experience is a plus (it shortens the learning curve on how a bank operates) but is not essential
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives at pace
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels of an organisation, including senior/exec audiences
• The ability to present complex information simply and structurally, using storytelling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement and a calm, confident approach under pressure
• A fast learner who picks up guidance quickly and runs with it autonomously
• Desirable: experience with culture and employee engagement programmes

Contractor (Umbrella) Rate: From £395pd to £484.18pd DOE
Perm Salary: From £65,232 to £80,000 DOE + Benefits Package
