Location:
London
Salary: 18-19.50 per hr
Contract: Ongoing / Long-term opportunity with potential to go permanent
Working Pattern: Hybrid, with regular site visits: Office – based work is scheduled on Monday (all day), Tuesday morning, Wednesday (all day) & Friday afternoon. Other duties may also apply as of when requested by the line manager.
Driving Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential

Due to continued investment in building safety and resident engagement, they are looking to appoint a Resident Engagement Building Safety Officer to join their Compliance function. This is a relatively new and evolving position within the organisation, offering the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of resident engagement practices, building safety initiatives and compliance processes.The role is expected to be long-term, providing significant opportunities for professional development and exposure to a broad range of building safety, compliance and resident engagement activity.

The Role

As a Resident Engagement Building Safety Officer, you will play a key role in supporting effective resident engagement across higher-risk buildings and residential blocks, particularly buildings over 11 metres in height.Working closely with the Compliance Manager, Compliance Officer, Housing Officers, Resident Engagement teams and external contractors, you will help ensure that building safety concerns are identified, recorded, communicated and appropriately followed through.

The role combines resident engagement, building safety inspections, compliance administration, contractor liaison and site-based activity, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied role and is confident working independently across multiple locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesAbout You

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in social housing, housing associations, local authorities, building safety, compliance, property services or resident engagement.

You will ideally have experience of working within residential properties and have a good understanding of building safety and fire safety compliance.
