British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter - Remote VRI (Permanent)

Salary: £45,000 per annum (full‑time), pro rata for part‑time

Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the UK

Hours: Full‑time and part‑time opportunities

Sector: Public Sector / NHS / Local Authorities

A leading global organisation is seeking experienced, qualified British Sign Language Interpreters for permanent, home‑based positions within its Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) service. Successful candidates will provide high‑quality interpreting support to Deaf and hearing service users across NHS, local authority and wider public sector settings.

The Role

• BSL-English interpreting - Provide accurate, professional interpretation between BSL and spoken English via live video calls.
• Public sector support - Support communication for a broad range of NHS, local authority and public sector appointments.
• Professional standards - Maintain confidentiality, impartiality and consistently high professional standards.
• Remote working - Work from home within a predictable Monday-Friday schedule (no evenings, weekends or bank holidays).

Hours Available

Full‑time:

• Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm (excluding bank holidays)

Part‑time:

• Wednesday: 12:30 pm-4:00 pm
• Thursday: 8:00 am-4:00 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am-4:00 pm
• Alternative hours may be considered for suitable applicants.
