Job Description:

Horizon Teachers is working with a SEN school based in Lewisham to find an organised, confident School Administrator. You'll be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and staff, and part of a busy, supportive office team that keeps the school running smoothly.


The role

• Keep pupil records up to date on SIMS or Arbor, including admissions, leavers and contact details
• Manage attendance: record absences, follow up with parents and run attendance reports
• Answer phone calls, emails and the front desk warmly and professionally
• Sign visitors in and out in line with the school's safeguarding procedures
• Send letters, texts and emails to parents through the school's communication systems
• Support the office team with trips, clubs, dinner money and general admin
• Handle sensitive information carefully and confidentially

About you

• Experience using SIMS or Arbor (essential)
• School office experience is ideal, but strong admin experience from another setting is also welcome
• Organised, calm and able to juggle priorities in a busy office
• Friendly and professional with parents, children and staff
• Confident with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Experience with ParentPay, Scopay, Parentmail or similar systems is a bonus
